This is a senior level position reporting directly to the Managing Director which involves leading a new division designed to deliver our new Digital product platform to support Automotive Dealers in Australia.

The successful applicant will be both technical and charismatic, with experience in Digital Sales and Marketing initiatives as well as have a high level of technical understanding of product including CMS, SEM, and SEO. You will be driven by the potential that the platform brings to the industry, and this drive will be the catalyst for working to establish a client base and to develop the supporting people and infrastructure required to grow the division. With departmental P&L responsibility, you will have experience in setting and working with budgets.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have:

A strong working knowledge of business practices to develop and implement digital strategies to support the core business strategies.
A strong working knowledge of sales and marketing practices to support the delivery of online advertising and communication initiatives.
A background in sales / business development, showing comfort and strength in your abilities to close a deal.
Successfully developing, managing, and delivering on yearly and project-based budgets.
Experience with building and managing a team of digital experts, including recruitment, performance management, leadership, and coaching.
An ability to drive personal/team performance through exceptional planning and time management.
Previous successes with delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the manager’s/customer’s expectations and satisfaction.
A passion for innovation and learning, continually researching the newest technologies and solutions.

Technical experience will include:

5+ years’ experience delivering websites for B2C customers
A strong understanding of common website programming languages
Experience with CMS software, and an understanding of their limitations and opportunities
Proven successes with the delivery of SEO, both with or without the use of software
Proven successes with the procurement and delivery of SEM, with particular focus on Google solutions
An exceptional ability to deliver ROI reporting, both in obtaining the data (eg Google Analytics) and presenting your findings to all levels of management – both internal and to our customers
A technically expansive mindset, with the ability to translate and educate non-technically savvy customers in a way that they can understand, and become engaged and inspired

Desirable experience will include:

A degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
