Service Desk Consultant (Automotive DMS)

Exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance team on a full-time basis.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide support to the CFO and assist in managing the month-end reporting process, perform complex reconciliations and assist with a range of value-adding finance-related projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Month-end preparation including journals, accruals, and other month end close procedures.
  • Maintaining general ledger including monthly balance sheet, banking and intercompany reconciliations.
  • P&L and operational analysis – Highlight key areas for effective decision making.
  • Manage Accounts receivable and payable including timely invoicing, cash collection and manage customer and supplier relationships.
  • Monitoring A/R Aging report in order to control the outstanding balances within payment terms.
  • Responsible for tax functions such as GST reporting and Payroll tax reporting.
  • Assist the CFO with the year end audit by coordinating and managing the provision of information to the external auditors.
  • Special projects.
What you will need to succeed

Must have

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or studying towards CPA/CA.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience within an Accounting/Finance team.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and develop.
  • Rights to work full time in Australia.

Desirable

  • Experience in working with the Xero accounting system.
